Ok so this is my first smoothie recipe for 2015, unfortunately I have been feeling a little unwell over the last week or so (perhaps to much of everything over Christmas) .
I am a strong believer in listening to your body ... um maybe I should rephrase that... what I mean to say is sometimes what you crave, is what your body needs, it doesn't mean when you really crave chocolate that you need to indulge in a packet of Tim Tams, I think it means that perhaps you should add some cacao to your smoothie as you may need some antioxidants etc. .....
Anyway, for some reason I felt like I "needed" one of these amazing fruits... pomegranate! (could also just be that they are so pretty) :? but I also love the way you get this sweet juicy flavour explosion in your mouth when you bite on the seeds.
Serves 1 to 2
1 x tablespoon TLC Mix
1/2 Pomegranate (keep some of the seeds for garnish)
1/2 cup of frozen blueberries
1/4 cup of walnuts
1/2 cup of spinach leaves
1 cup of good coconut water or iced green tea.
Blend together until smooth and creamy, pour into your favourite cocktail glass, sprinkle with remaining pomegranate seeds and enjoy!
